It's been a while since last time, i've been busy with stuff related to Pixie Carnation, finishing up our debut EP, rehearsing and playing our first 3 liveshows. It's been great! Big thanks to all of you who showed up. Also, we got our first review of Fresh Poems, read it here. We'll be sending out a bunch of promos the following weeks, so if you're in a position where you think you should get one, let us know why and email us at info@pixiecarnation.com.

So, about this new project... I've created a band together with my friend Ola Pålsson called Pixie Carnation. We have recently finished recording five songs, and will soon have an EP printed, called Fresh Poems EP. You can listen to three of the songs at the Pixie Carnation myspace page. Enjoy!

During the past year, i have been writing songs together with my dear childhood friend Ola. We decided to start a band for this (still unnamed) project, and today we spent the first of three days in the studio, recording five songs for an upcoming demo EP. Our ambitions are very high and hopefully this will turn out as good as we want it. For those of you who are familiar with my own music, i can tell you that this is something completely different. I will keep you updated with information about this project further on...

BUT!
This doesn't mean that i haven't continued making more music on my own. Actually, i have nearly finished my next album! All the songs are done and the album art will be very nicely hand-printed and packaged with artwork from Anna Johansson, who also made the cover art for Sides. No dates yet, but i should be able to wrap this up and have the CD available sometime this spring.

Under the past few months, i've been collaborating with Dead Letters Spell Out Dead Words (Thomas Ekelund) on a project, which resulted in a 25 minute piece called "White/Grey/Black".

It's being released today (October 27th) on It's A Trap's MP3-label.
It's all free to download with beautiful artwork made by Thomas.

It's been a while! But i can tell you that i've been busy writing and recording new material. Without revealing too much details, i can confirm that i'm working on two new releases, which will hopefully see the light sometime this fall...

And also, while still waiting for the first reviews of Sides to pop up, i found out that i was chosen to be the "band of the week" over at thesilentballet.com! Read their statement here. Exciting!

So, after just releasing Sides, it's now time to announce that i have a new split EP out with Metronomes!

Metronomes is the moniker of Al Paxton from the scottish band Stapleton. The EP contains 3 songs each, one of my songs is a cover of Stapleton's 'Ships of the North Atlantic', one is taken from Sides (Vintervarm) and the third one is a new, previously unreleased track called Always Problems.

Since i  really love the Metronomes album Canoe, this is really a great thing, to do a split release with someone you like and respect as highly as Al and his music, it's really exciting! This release can be ordered directly from me (PayPal) or at Banquet Records.
